For the Kids

Great Mills High School Mini‑THON is a student‑driven charitable organization dedicated to raising funds and awareness for pediatric cancer by supporting Four Diamonds. Four Diamonds provides comprehensive assistance to children and families impacted by pediatric cancer, offering financial support, emotional care, and access to cutting‑edge research. Through this partnership, GMHS Mini‑THON empowers students to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing childhood cancer.

Through year‑round fundraising events, community activities, and local sponsorships, we unite students, families, and partners across St. Mary’s County to champion the mission of Four Diamonds. From charity races and themed events to donation drives and business‑supported campaigns, every effort helps support children battling pediatric cancer and ensures no family faces this fight alone

Mini-THON team

Founded in 2018, the Great Mills High School Mini‑THON chapter began with a small group of students determined to bring the Four Diamonds mission to our community. Since then, it has grown into a meaningful tradition that unites our school around supporting families affected by pediatric cancer.

Over the years, GMHS Mini‑THON has raised more than $40,000 through student‑led events, local sponsorships, and community‑wide fundraising efforts. Each new year builds on that momentum, finding creative ways to expand our reach and strengthen our impact.

Today, Mini‑THON remains a powerful force for good in our school and community. We encourage students, families, and local partners to get involved—attend events, volunteer, or become a sponsor—and help us continue making a real difference for children and families battling pediatric cancer.
